The Lakes Region of New Hampshire and the nearby White Mountains make an unbelievable backdrop for one of Mother Nature’s most spectacular annual displays – Fall Foliage. In the Lakes Region, the colors begin to emerge in early September and reach their peak in early-mid October. The foliage generally begins in the cooler Northern New Hampshire regions and works its way down the state as the season progresses.
