Lake Facts
At 4,264 acres, it is the third-largest lake located entirely in New Hampshire. The lake is primarily fed by the outlet from Lake Winnipesaukee, and Winnisquam's outlet is the Winnipesaukee River, flowing to the Merrimack River.

Winnisquam is 10.5 miles long by 1.5 miles wide and is the 4th largest lake located entirely in New Hampshire.

Islands
Loon Island, Three Islands, Pot Island, Hog Island and Mohawk Island.

Location
Lake Winnisquam is only a few miles off Exit 20 of I-93 and is close to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Tilton and the Belknap Mall (indoor mall). All the major chains and local restaurants are nearby. The main road runs on one side and the other three sides have back roads. Winnisquam has two parts, big and little with a bridge separating them.

Recreation
The lake offers great fishing and boating and is a long lake for extended boating excursions. Lake Winnipesaukee is minutes away as are several quaint village townships and some beautiful golf courses.

Public Beach
Ahern State Park - Laconia Rt 11A. On the shores of Lake Winnisquam. Many walking trails, small swimming beach. Pit toilets. 436-1552

Bartlett Beach - Laconia Beach on Lake Winnisquam. Rt 3 to Court Street. Turn onto Bay Street. Left to Winnisquam Ave. Beach is at end. No fee. Swimming, bathrooms, fishing, playground, picnicking. 524-5046

Public Boat Launch
Water Street, Laconia. Two ramps, a floating dock - handicap accessible. Marinas
