Rachael Ray Visits Squam Lakes Natural Science Center
Holderness, N.H. – The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center had a very special visitor in the past week. Rachael Ray, syndicated television star, iconic Food Network television personality, and bestselling cookbook author, visited the center with her husband John Cusimano to film a segment for a future series on her Food Network show called Rachael’s Vacation: Outdoor Adventure. During her visit Rachael got to feed a fish-filled ice-ball to the Science Center’s River Otters. She also visited the Mountain Lion, Bobcat and White-tailed Deer Exhibits. Her film crew returned this week to film additional footage and fully capture all the family vacation fun the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has to offer.
The segment will debut sometime during the upcoming winter/early spring.
About Squam Lakes Natural Science Center
The mission of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center (SLNSC) is to advance understanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire’s natural world. Through spectacular live animal exhibits, natural science education programs, and lake cruises, the Science Center has educated and enlightened visitors for more than forty years about the importance of our natural world. Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is located on Route 113 in Holderness, an easy drive from exit 24 off I-93, and is open daily from May 1 through November 1. In September 2006, SLNSC gained national accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). This accreditation distinguishes SLNSC as one of the very finest educational facilities of its kind throughout the nation and the only AZA-accredited institution in all of northern New England.
