The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has just opened a new exhibit featuring a collection of intricately carved and hand painted life-sized birds.

Lincoln Financial Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center to support “Access for All, ” a program to provide access to the Science Center’s main Gephart Exhibit Trail for elderly and physically challenged individuals who have difficulty walking.

An exciting new business has flown into the Lakes Region of New Hampshire providing guests with an exhilarating new thrill - open cockpit flying over the lakes and mountains. Based at Emerson Aviation at the Laconia Airport, pilot & owner Phil DiVirgilio, invites you to take a ride with him in his WACO Classic YMF-5 Super. Soar with the wind in your hair and bask in the sunshine while taking in the spectacular 360 degree panoramic views.

Take photos with an "I love it here!" sign and you could win a dream vacation.

An exciting new addition for this summer, vacationers will have another exhilarating activity to enjoy - a new zip line, opening in early July. Starting at Loon's Adventure Center, located at the base of the mountain, guests will be able to soar from the Adventure Center over the Pemigewasset River, and back again.

Today Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 700 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010.

Highland Mountain came out of the gate with guns blaring this season. After a record breaking year in 2009 Highland has stepped up their game once again with new trails, a state of the art indoor training center, and a line up of camp programs that will turn any newbie into a shredder in no time.

Winter weary New Englanders planning summer get-a-ways and vacations will want to keep an eye on what’s happening in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire this year. Located on the southeastern shores of Lake Winnipesaukee the town that touts itself as the “Oldest Summer Resort in America” is celebrating its 250th anniversary with a yearlong schedule of special events and activities.
